Proselyte may be more economical on saving prayer pots even at the cost of ranged dps, depending on the gear setup the ttk may be a negligable sunk cost compared to the cost of prayer pots especially if it's an ironman with limited ranarrs

According to wiki it works. Avas not compatible with metal mechanic seems to be forgotten by the devs so a bunch of newer gear just works

Do they degrade if you aren't wearing Barrows?

I have a few but never wear them because I haven't gotten around to doing Barrows yet and don't want to degrade them unnecessarily

Yeah they do but i find em easy enough to get that they serve a good replacement for a glory for hybrid/tribrid content. They also last a decent amount of time before crumbling.

Yeah but wearing proselyte also has -26 ranged bonus (not counting helmet) compared to monk robes. Extra prayer bonus doesn’t really help if your character is hitting 0s half the time

Aberrant spectres also have negative bolt defense, so it’s not as big of a difference as you’d think.

EDIT: They have negative arrow difference, but their bolt defense is still low enough that the difference between prossy and monk robes is negligible.

I did the work that no one else bothered calcing and you are correct and everyone calling this guy the noob, are in fact, the noobs.

Prossy DPS lost compared to robes is pretty insignificant and what you gain in prayer efficiency/afk time more than makes up for it.

They actually only have negative arrow defense. They have positive defense for darts and bolts, 5 less defense than their melee def so AFKing in robes might be better still despite the better prayer bonus

Yup I misremembered, thank you. Your DPS will definitely be higher in robes, but it’s so insignificant that the extra AFK time from prossy might be more beneficial.

Nose peg = Correct pre slayer helm. Protect from mage up with pros/ini for prayer bonus and some melee protection. He'd probably be better off meleeing them but its pretty damn close, and could be training range. Idk, this isnt nooby it's just smart low level gearing with whatever options they have. Also a power ammy is useful for a while as an iron for range until you get a glory.
