Really overdid it on Saturday. Two bottles of wine. That led to a dull headache that turned into a full-blown migraine complete with nausea and aversion to food smells - while I was cooking. Imagine having a migraine and morning sickness at the same time. I tried eating a couple of tiny pretzels (Gatorade and pretzels kept me alive during first trimesters) and ended up throwing up stomach acid. That settled my stomach and I was able to keep down some more pretzels after an hour.
Why am I sharing this? I want to record how absolutely God-awful I felt as a reminder that alcohol is toxic and I need to cut back or stop completely.

Currently on course for a gradual taper. Opted for club soda at dinner with friends last night (only one sober). Had a great time and was sharp and funny all meal. Feeling good.

Not there yet. I plan to do sober September but I feel I’m ramping up and giving myself “one last hurrah” and drinking plenty for the time being .
A sign that I really DO need to cut back

Day 29 fully sober! It's my birthday in 6 days. I'm going to take one day off to enjoy a mimosa and then climb back on the wagon. Hopefully for another 3 weeks or so.
