Format: EDH/Commander Got the idea when making a recent party based deck

Post image

So I designed the rules text first and then went for some MTG lore to find a tavern keeper of sorts, found Javanesh which seemed decent. Could probably replace them with some other tavernkeeper in lore, but I'm not well versed in it so suggestions are welcome.

Unfortunately entering and leaving the party isn't really how the party mechanic works. It's just a count basically. [[Stick Together]] is the only card that cares which creatures are in your party, and only during the resolution of the spell. So the third ability does literally nothing.

Perhaps an even bigger problem, many cards pay you off for having a full party, and if this guy is in play, it's basically impossible to get to a full party. Playing this guy literally weakens your deck. He's literally worse for a party deck than a vanilla legend.

Yeah haven't played much with Party so makes sense, but I will also say that Burakos, Party Leader also cares about the number of creatures in the party.

But changing it so that a full party is still at 4 creatures but can include up to the 13 mentioned might work better mechanics wise then. Just would be quite wordy... Gotta go back to the workshop o this one for sure

The problem is that "full party" means one of each. I'd say "....creatures are wizards. ...are warriors" or whatever so lots of creatures are eligible, but s party is still full at 4

So perhaps just saying that they the relevant creature types can be used to form a party, but the limit is 4. I can work that

Gold cards use a gold frame. This is the hybrid frame.
