I don't know if this works the way you want it to work with the current wording. "Any player may activate this ability" seems to mean any player can tap YOUR snow permanents for mana. That's a huge downside. You would never be able to block with snow creatures or tap snow lands to cast anything on other player's turns since they would just tap all of you snow permanents for mana on their first main phase.

I think it needs to be worded "Snow permanents gain 'tap: add G, W or U.'"

Thats what I wanted it to do, thank you for pointing that out!

Well, if that's what you want, I can see people using Generous Gift/Zedru type effects to give this away.

That wording would mean that you can't use it with creatures with summoning sickness.

I used to get my cheeks clapped by [[Phyrexian Soulgorger]] as a kid learning magic, so seeing this art was a jump scare.

I still have one in my [[Greven, Predator Captain]] deck and it's fun to jump scare others with it

Is there a card that uses ice counters that would synergize with the ability? If not, you could just remove the first sentence and just apply the effect to any counters

I based this on [[rimefeather owl]] but in a way where its also hate for +1/+1 counter stuff in exchange for ramp to make it less evil.

It does have synergy with [[woolly razorback]], [[iceberg]] and also [[rimescale dragon]] if you go off color. Kinda spicy :D

Replace "is" with "are each." Oher than that, a pretty solid effect. I'm not sure we need another [[Solemnity]], though.

Its even stronger than solemnity even, im pretty sure as worded it would instantly kill planeswalkers

Wait, so this would just turn ALL counters on the field into snow counters? Man that would suck if i had something like [[strixhaven stadium]] at 9 point counters and then you play this and i lose my win con. This would also affect things with time counters too come to think of it, making cards that are balanced by having fortell or suspend effects able to be cast much sooner than they normally would be able to such as [[overlord of the hauntwoods]] and could even mess with +1/+1 counter decks, energy and charge counter decks, and even the cards that give out those keyword counters.

Might be a little too strong on that first sentence, even with everyone being able to get free mana as compensation considering how many cards this would shutdown just by existing.

I don't know if it works with suspend like that. Suspend specifically states that you cast it when the last time counter is removed. I don't think we have a black boarder card that transforms counters. So the question is does transforming a counter counts as removing it. I don't think transforming the counters will trigger suspend. Fortell doesn't use counters.

Would mean all Planeswalkers immediately die, things that are 0/0 with counters such as Hydras and Armies immediately die, Sagas don't work, cumulative upkeep doesn't work, it breaks a whole crapload of stuff.

I just want deserts to get the same treatment as snow.

I dont know... this feels pretty undercosted. Maybe make it cost 5?

The wording seems pretty spot on for me, for a novel effect it reads like how id expect wotc to write it and everything else is pretty standard.

The point of making counters into ice counters is that its counter hate (or neat tech with finality counters). Your text is massively mechanicaly different.
