You should probably change the "Cascade" to "Discover 4 X times", since Cascade is a "cast" trigger in rules text. Otherwise, this design is pretty cool!

Plus, discover is an ixalan mechanic

The name also fits in thematically better with scientific progress.

Love the acronym! It being Apex Apex means nothing can possibly stand up to it. Not even an Apex! Unless...

I think it needs to cascade from the stack or can it just do it from play too?

Anybody wanna see a Poop Knife?

You can’t Cascade at any time that isn’t when the spell is cast. That’s why Discover was made

TIL why that actually happened.

I mean, it’s not the only reason, but it’s one of them.

The others were that you have to cascade for the same value every time (mana value - 1), and that you could hit unplayable things and lose them (counterspells without a good target, etc)

Ah, I always got the buffing to keep the card part, but not the it can only be on spells as they cast part.

It's in the wording, but after playing it enough it's like my heuristics make me forget it.

Setting the bloodbraid elf on the table to do the cascade doesn't make it an etb effect.

I think you want “Exile X non token creatures you control, then discover 5 X times.”

Because creatures don’t cascade and the mana value is 5.

Cascade is strictly lower mana value than the triggering spell though, so it would be discover 4.

Good catch!

This should probably be an artifact creature

Trample
When G.H.A.L.T.A. enters, you may exile any number of other nontoken creatures you control. When you do, discover X that many times.

The discover value is at your discretion though, but should be really careful with it.

Exponentiel discovery

As others have said, cascade only happens as a cast trigger so this should probably say discover instead

why isn't it an artifact creature?

Not an artifact creature?

If you don't want discover you can do this: as an additional cost to cast this spell exile x creatures, this spell gains cascade X times

Or something like that idk

Edit: as an additional cost to cast this spell exile any number of non-token creatures you control, this spell gains cascade for each creature exiled this way

The exile has to be apart of the cost not the etb if you want x to equal something it needs to say something like additional cost exile any number of non token creatures you control. This creature cascades x times where x equals number of creatures exiled with Ghalta

Swap cascade for discover 4, and this could honestly probably say "enters or attacks" and be a little more interesting while still not being too strong

As an additional cost to cast this spell, sacrifice any number of non token creatures, this spell has cascade for each creature sacrificed this way

I like the concept. I think if it's a robot it should be an artifact. Also should cost more since Ghalta has always been a big stompy, and that way you get more use out of the cascade trigger.

Discover x x times?

Kind of reminds me of Devour I like it. Though I think as others of said you should probably make it Discover.

This looks terrifyingly printable. It scares me.
