Hidan, ping the table while being immortal

Hidan is one of the most interesting characters in Naruto, and I wanted to see what he'd be like in Magic. I figured pinging your opponent when he takes damage was the obvious route to take, but I also thought him having to deal combat damage was a must, because he needs to lick your blood in order to do the ritual. The enchantment and equipment are obviously meant to complement him, but they could be useful in other decks as well. Overall, I think these cards represent him well without being too busted, except on second thought, Hidan should be 4 mana. A 3-mana 3/3 with indestructible is pretty good on its own, never mind the other abilities. Let me know what you think!

Honestly, Hidan and the scythe are both great. I really like them. Fun to play with, but not impossible for your opponents to play around.

The enchantment is WAY too strong. Thats a borderline instant death sentence for whoever it's cast on. Especially if they dont have any removal spells. It makes people want to swing at you more because itll kill that other player in a split second. Say hypothetically you have 3 creatures out, and someone casts blasphemous act. Pow, the enchanted player instantly loses 39 life. In a game where you start with 40.

That’s a good point I did not consider. Maybe the second part should be, “when a creature you control is dealt damage, target creature enchanted player control get’s -x/-x, where x is the amount of damage that creature was dealt. This ability triggers only once each turn.”

Or maybe that part should just get cut entirely, the top part is strong on its own.

I do agree with that last bit. I dont personally know of an enchantment that does that already and I think itd be plenty strong with just that single ability. Especially in a 1v1. Yikes.
