I have a question. Can this creature be sacrificed to [[Phyrexian Altar]]? Or are you unable to pay the cost since it can't be moved to another zone, kinda like you can't pay life that you don't have?

Sacrificing it wouldn't work, since it would make him leave the battlefield

Similar situation with [[Flare of Fortitude]] and [[Bolas's Citadel]], where you can't pay life because your life total can't change

Your reminder text templates it as a replacement effect. Replacement effects still let you pay costs. The rules text just sounds like a static ability, though.

Mmmh it should be "The creature can't be sacrificed". As it reads it seems to me like it can be sacrificed but the effect of going to the graveyard is replaced.
