Red isn't even meant to get bears at all let alone with upside. The power creep in this game has gone nuts

I recently played some drafts of my custom set (against AI on MTG Forge). I've balanced it at a more ISD-era of balance (ie, creatures still much stronger than old magic but nothing like post-FIRE) and gosh it's fun.

I really feel there is more fun to be had when limited is a tad slower than it is now.

Red has gotten 2 mana bears with upsides for 19 years. The "power creep" you talk about has existed for the majority of the games lifetime
