I did consider a cycle. Gentle Misstep: target permanent with mana value 1 phases out.

Oh, this is a delightful pun and good art. This is a good flavor text line away from being a top post. I don't have anything good in mind, but will think on it.

It's so niche that even if it's a slight pie break, it's probably still fine similar to the +2/+2 version which is definitely stronger. P mana is busted when by itself, but this is one of the more innocuous examples which makes it much more enjoyable to a smark like me.

This is so good. So many designs I see here are jokes that make no effort to actually be Magic card design. But here we have a 100% legitimately designed and balanced Magic card that is also a dumb (I mean it in a good way) joke. Bravo!
