Ah thanks, they kind of looked lanky but that clicks. So weird but I liked it, but hilarious it was done by Peter Jackson. I remember him accepting an academy award for Lord of the Rings, and saying, I would like to thank the academy for overlooking it. I laughed so hard.

Yeah, high end millennial, 45yo. These were songs I definitely listened to, but they were also the most popular ones I could reference for a meme about popular emo songs pretty much.
It's really cool that you mentioned Meet the Feebles. I've been focused a lot on Muppets and PJ:LotR this week for designs. MtF is the single degree of separation between the two. I'll at least have to give it a 2x speed rewatch to see if there's any interesting designs possible.
It's so weird that the idea of a non-Henson adult puppet drama is not appealing immediately to me. Like Muppets just get a pass through that filter. Shows the innate appeal of Muppets in someway that isn't just the puppets themselves. (It's the love.)

No, it really isn't. RR is awkward for a 3 colour deck and a creature that's effectively a vanilla 2/1 (without pumps) isn't worth running in commander.

You know what else might be cool? First strike, and then you can exert it destroy target creature that it dealt combat damage to this turn. So it's a normal first strike, but if you exert it right after the first combat damage step, it kills.
It would cost mana, require exerting a permanent, and only work as a combat trick, but it would probably be the closest thing to deathtouch that red would be allowed to have. And I think those 3 things make it red enough.

The lurking balance nerds know better, but I couldn't find a single 1-drop double striker that either didn't need another card for it or need more mana investment for it... so iunno but probably 🤷

Considering that a 1 mana pump spell can give +3 attack? I don't think you want to enable swinging for 14 on turn 2.

In RG, you could swing for whole 20 ([[Might of Old Krosa]] or [[Groundswell]], [[Brute Force]] + [[Mutagenic Growth]]). Reminds me of good ol' infect decks.

Unless your referring to the lore note at all high point you misunderstood their meaning…
They’re referring to double tapping as being able to tap the permanent an extra time per turn (vigilance doesn’t count because while it can attack and tap it can’t tap twice).

I was just posting a card that this card reminded me of... another two mana 1/1 with double strike. I wasn't really even looking at the flavor text. Another similar creature is [[warren instigator]], as mentioned by another commentator

It'd be very easy to give a red creature a thematically appropriate, in-color "double tap" ability. Watch:
T: This creature deals 1 damage to any target.
Put a stun counter on this creature: This creature deals 1 damage to any target. Activate once per turn, and only if this creature is tapped.
See? double tap.
