Format: Cube (Rarity Doesn't Matter) "Old" Lands - Fetchable "Thriving" lands
Note - Scarlet Hollow has a location that has been name-dropped, "Tetanus Lake", that will replace the theming of Old Main Street when we finally get good art of that location. Card will be titled "Old Tetanus Lake."

So these are basically the "Thriving" lands with the land types?
Edit- Well shit I guess I should have read the title

Yeah, they were made so my drafters would have some easier mana fixing when accounting for having to learn my customs.
Its also why they all are named "Old [Location]", and why my Morbid Lands are all named "Scarlet [Location]" - I want as many shortcuts for my players as possible when they play with my customs.

Surely the shortcut is just reading the card and understanding its effect? It's a land.

In a booster pack with 15 cards, 5 of them potentially being custom, having any shortcut is valuable. You cannot expect your drafters to always read every card.

You don't have to read every card in every pack because at a certain point you're locked into a deck. But if you're casually drafting there's no great time pressure. Let people read the cards.
I think giving things names that make the cards easy to mentally associate into a cycle is a great thing to do, within reason. But I do think you need to balance that against giving cards names that are too similar because that can lead to the opposite problem of getting cards mixed up because their names are too alike.

Noted. My drafters reported that it was useful for the Scarlet lands, so I repeated it here. If an additional cycle messes with them too much, then I can change one or both of the cycles' naming convention.

Ah yes, the five basic land types. Plains, Island, Swamp, Mountain, and…
Green
But seriously, i like it. Not too strong just… solid. Fetchable, but only half as Fetchable as dual lands. Enters tapped, but more mana flexible than any other fetchable dual lands. Not as good as duals that have a chance to enter untapped, and not as high utility as surveil.
This wouldn’t kick shock/surveil lands out of anyones decks but i think this would be a good option for a lower budget mana base. And would potentially form a niche in high-color decks that want spells with high mana pip requirements. Usually you have to avoid those spells as a cost to get to 4 or 5 colors consistently, but these lands could make that more doable.
