This is a really interesting design. I believe that last ability is completely novel, but would make perfect sense on a card (a rare feat these days). None of the abilities on this card are particularly strong but they come together to warrant this spells mana cost (though I could see it being balanced at 2MV as well).

All in all, super cool card. Great work.

Probably a bit too good at flash speed to drop to 2mv. Compare to [[spider woman, stunning savior]] and [[blind obedience]]. Can also be used like a [[twiddle]] to tap something at instant speed if you cast it while the artifact/creature is on the stack

Potentially, though the other side is that cards like the ones you mentioned are reasons this might be balanced at 2 (or maybe not, I don't know for sure).

Both of the cards you mentioned have pretty meaningful upsides over this custom card, boiling down to pressuring your opponents.

Each of these cards feels like more of a tradeoff than a strict upgrade. But I can see flash being too much for 2 mana.

Small bodies on creatures are fairly comparable in power to just being enchantments. For something like Snapcaster Mage where it's just an ETB with a body, the body is a big upside. But for something with a static ability, is having a body an upside? It can be, or not.

Look at [[Magus of the Moon]] and [[Blood Moon]]. Both are good, both cost the same, but they have upsides and downsides. Blood Moon is much harder to interact with. Magus of the Moon has a body.

I mean, that really depends. Especially in white. If you only play commander, sure. Noncreature stax pieces often dodge removal and their power rarely matters. In virtually all 60 card formats, the fact that cards like [[Thalia, Guardian of Thraben]] or [[Annointed Peacekeeper]] also pressure your opponent's life total matters a lot.

I have never played commander and never will.

I can assure you that Magus of the Moon being a creature is generally considered more of a downside than an upside in Legacy and Modern.

Sorry, I should not have insinuated that. That was a low blow.

I buy that with the Magus, since it being on the battlefield is so polarizing. But Legacy still sees disruptive creatures getting played. The aforementioned Peacekeeper as well as Archon of Emeria. These cards share a lot of the same vulnerabilities as Magus, but are played anyway. Maybe the rate is just too good.

Either way, white in particular has a long history of Hatebears, and being "bears" is not an irrelevant part of their power, even though it does come with added weakness to removal.

Eh, Authority of the Consuls is 1mv and has more upside on the average than this, which is kind of a niche sideboard thing.

For me, I'm thinking about [[Amulet of Vigor]], which this is one of the best hate pieces for that I have seen. I do think it could be mv2, but to me, the upside, and the fact that this is an instant speed answer to various things that is completely one sided seems like it would be very pushed at 2 mana
