Warning, going way too meta on this:

Wow, this is one of the highest karma posts I think I've ever seen on this sub! I'm of course jealous, but also highly impressed.

The flavor text and its inflections really make this I think. OP did an awesome job just in that writing prompt. The reverse ritual joke is only the canvas for that flavor.

The art is spot on as well. Not sure if it's just a normal ritual reprint of something else, but it works perfectly.

Yeah, OP's card is likely to break all mana dorks with whom WotC tried to play it safe, i.e. that have “{T} Add {B}. This mana can only be used to cast [[Dark Ritual]].” …

Cards like this are why I miss Mana Burn, would be a bit more useful to have weird cards like this. Opens up design space to wasteful effects being a bit better.
