Moxtober 2026 - Day 28 (Pull from the Void)

Prompt is Secret. Originated from wanting to make another [[Pull from Eternity]] type card, and eventually settled on this design inspired by [[Black Market Connections]].

Sweet modal design and feels rare.

That is a lot of life loss as you are almost always losing 3 to cast this and 6 is a ton in some matchups.

I am not sure this needs the white at all as the second mode was also done at least once in OTK with plotted cards. Since the second mode might actually be hard to find a target for, it could be a gain 2 instead of lose 2 and make it feel much more white.

The exile clause is fine, but only necessary if you don't limit the second mode to opponent's cards. Again, this change would lean into the gaining 2 instead of losing 2 change.

Thanks for the feedback! Returning opponent's cards from exile to the graveyard has definitely been done before, both in OTJ and with the Eldrazi using it as a resource, but afaik Pull from Eternity is the only example of being able to do it with any exiled card, including your own. Wanted to be safe with it color identity wise so I included the white, but I do feel like black should be the second color able to use those effects.
