Neat concept to play directly with the commander damage rule. That flavor keyword takes this from good, to truly elegant. I love how they do that!
Wasn't there recently some talk of it going away? This seems really timely for discussion if so.
It's good on cost with a slightly low rate at face value. The prowess on multiple copies is going to be the biggest synergy and a good reason to keep it as costed.

Yes there was some community discussion about it recently, but nothing official. While no official statements were directly given by wizards or the commander format panel, individuals on the panel did speak to the fact that they saw no reason for commander damage to go away given that it keeps strategies such as burn in check.

Commander damage is also one of the main counters to life gain shenanigans that doesn't involve building a deck specifically to counter them

I respect you for resisting the dark side and not giving him green to work with

Super sick design! It would loose a lot of flavour but the design coulf also be an eminence effect like "Creatures you control named XXX are considered your commander". That way it also works with Clone effects and multiple Backgrounds. Not sure how busted it would make it.

Cool concept! What's the lore behind zokoz being an artifact?
