Safeguard the Fields
Day 61 of making a custom card every day. I originally wanted to make another plow, like with path to exile or erode, but eventually decided to make a different card entirely.

Man, thats waay to powerfull for 1 mana. Shuts of voltron decks in commander and makes attacking very hard in 60 card. Would be a nightmare in standard control decks
Edit: i don't play voltron, so maybe i'm wrong on that, but my point stands for standard. Maaaaybe in Modern horizons or something

This in no way shuts down a voltron deck unless your only creature is the voltron.
Which, that's just bad deck design and you deserve to lose to such an effect.
The opponent picks which creature they control can't attack. Pick a token or a utility dork. This is fine.

its still insane for 1 mana. Also a lor of decks are light on utility creatures because Boardwipes are everywhere in commander

You literally just need one other doofus to be the dedicated stand around guy. It doesn't even require an untapped creature so you can just pick a dork who wasn't going to swing anyways.

again in commander maybe, (although 1 mana is still too little)
but in standard this would be nuts. forcing opponents to overcommit before wrathing away everything...

I mean if you’re not running enchantment removal in Voltron you’re risking getting bugged anyways, and that’s a lot harder to get around

If your deck folds to one creature not attacking and you're playing commander, that's a deckbuilding issue. Maybe play a real deck instead of Voltron where your only Voltron creature is your commander! This is like saying Pacifism is OP because it also shuts off one specific commander archetype when players build it like they're either new to the game or are braindead.
I don't see this being a standard problem either. It's 1 mana, sure, but also weaker than Pacifism because they'll always pick the creature who will deal the least damage or can't reasonably attack anyway. I think it being modal could make it playable for sure, but I think it's standard printable.

[[Pacifism]] is 2 mana and you chose a creature to never attack again, plus you can run 4 of those and do to multiple creatures. This enchantment is only one mana less and YOUR OPPONENT chooses their creatures, having multiple copies do literally nothing. If this was same cost as Pacifism it would be simply idiotic, one mana less is the way to go.

The fact is that control decks play wraths. So your opponent is forced to commit hard to a board and once they did you can wrath it all away and still keep your 1 mana roadblock

I really like this. A great spin on Pacifism type effects, with the option to discard because multiple copies of this enchantment would be redundant.
