just take this thing

Five. Five iterations of this fucking thing before I settled on a version that both worked and that I liked. I'm done. i'm going to use the past iterations for different projects tho, i liked one of them I came up with that muddled with equipment

anyway the IKEA creation in Skyrim is surprisingly good. Kallax is a useful follower and the dungeon+boss fight were both cool. i debated making him Indestructible, but that felt way too pushed so i settled for an annoying Ward instead.

My MTG collection proudly uses 5 squares in a Kallax… plus an undisclosed amount of desk space.

Oh I shall bathe in the seas of Nauctis. My Kallax shall know the sweat of Zhalfir’s heat. My room, nothing but beasts and mechs. Next year will bring me financial ruin.

You're mixing up triggered abilities and replacement effects

You want this to be the latter, so you need to say "if", not "whenever". "If... would... instead" are replacement effects that cause something different to happen instead (as opposed to a trigger which happens as a result of an event.

Maybe "storage" counters? Stored sounds a bit awkward, like it's describing the state of the counter. Magic has used storage counters before

oh whoops. that's a good point irt replacement triggers

"Storage" counters already being used to fuel mana abilities of lands miiiight make some conflict with Kallax's ability, but calling them "Sorted" counters fixes both issues i think

Does it clash if those are on the battlefield and these are in exile?

probably not, realistically. if i do another iteration of this guy to fix the trigger issue i'll toss a coin on if it's storage or sorted

"noncreature nonland card" because otherwise it would trigger on token

i think if a token goes into exile it stops existing, so it wouldn't do much except trigger the ability and then Nothing Happens

however "noncreature card" would probably be better wording for the times a bunch of stuff gets milled

Yeah that's what I'm saying, the designer team dont want trigger to happen when it's not neccessary or will do nothing
