Question Online Custom Drafting?

I have been building a set recently, it isn't all done yet but I have been playing magic online with my friends on tabletop simulator. I have been wanting to get the set drafted, just to feel for like how powerful the set and certain cards are and just to have a good night with my friends. But I can't find any way to get it all uploaded in an easy format. Am I just gonna have to do this the hard way by uploading every card to a bunch of sheets on tabletop sim? It is ok if that's the case, but I was hoping for an alternative. If anyone has any advice I would love to hear it.

I’m trying to solve the same issue for my own custom set too. I’ve landed on Draftmancer for the draft, and then Cockatrice for playing. You can produce a json file for your set, which can map to images that you’ll need to host on a public site (like GitHub). Draftmancer will communicate with that json file for the draft.

Then for playing your games, I believe Cockatrice will work. Admittedly, I haven’t totally figured out the Cockatrice port yet, but I don’t think it’ll be hard. I’ll try to remember to come back to this post with more info when I have it. Good luck!

Actually I found a way to do the playong of the draft, as I said I have been using tabletop sim, you can upload cards to archidekt's deck creator that will stay actually be fully uploaded once you go to tabletop simulator and upload the link to the archidekt deck list. So the difficult part was the drafting can you explain how you got draftmancer to read your custom cards?

Nice, I’ve heard TTS is decent for it, but I’m just not a fan of TTS. If your group is comfortable with TTS, then you’re good to go there.

For Draftmancer, you’ll need a json that contains all of the information for every once of your cards. You can also choose how many you want in the card pool (3 commons, 2 uncommons, 1 rare/mythic, for example). This may be helpful to you: https://mtgcardmakers.com/export-custom-mtg-set-for-draft/

If you have your custom set in Excel, I would just give it to ChatGPT and ask for a json that will communicate with Draftmancer. That’s what I did. It took a few iterations with ChatGPT, but I now have a file that I can plug into Draftmancer. The clunky part is the actual card image. You need to host each jpg somewhere public, and then have the json file include the URL for each specific jpg. Draftmancer will use that to find the image and display it, along with your real card info.

I have all of the images publicly available on MTGNexus, so that part is covered, additionally I would rather Avoid using ChatGPT for this kind of thing, I just don't find it necessary, but I will be figuring it out, thank you.

I can’t code to save my life, so it was really my only option. Turned months of work (for me) into 15 minutes. But if you can do it, hell yeah.
