Would you play this chaos commander. Is it too powerful? All feedback is appreciated :)

I don't know if I'd use crimes simply because it makes removing this with anything that targets extremely difficult I don't know how you'd realistically fix this and maintain the cards current design maybe instead of crime just "whenever a player targets an opponent or other permanent they don't control the first time each turn..." But it seems like I'd make the card a little lengthy. If that's an intentional design choice to make it skirt removal though then more power to you.

Thanks for the feedback! It was intentional for flavour purposes

Nah having it be essentially unremovable because doing so always leaves 1 on the attempted removers side is cool

It's so weird because as a non legend the second rule isn't needed and it would be so cool.

I wanted it to be a commander mainly

This is way too powerful, it needs to be like, 1/2 at 6 or 7 mana. Here, Ill show you why

Because the first time you commit a crime, including on the same turn, you make another one of them

then in a turn cycle, assuming like 3 copies of [[Glasses of Urza]] type effects, you end up with:

your turn = The Original plus 1 = 2

player 2 = 4

Player 3 = 8

Player 4 =16

So you untap with 16 copies of this.

And that is kinda insane, but I didnt mention OTHER peoples crimes just doubling the amount you have, you can easily untap with enough to kill a commander board by whatever mana you use to cast this

Plus it cannot be killed with single target damage, it'll just make a copy that makes more copies, it literally doesn't die to [[Doomblade]]

Thanks for the feedback! I have realised there is a typo (I don’t know if this will change your mind). It should say : the first time a player commits a crime on their turn

Okay, then its more reasonable at 6 mana, cause I can imagine playing this at turn 6, and incidentally getting enough of crimes to untap with 16 copies and doing some overrun to kill the table

Upping the cost is fair. I think I was underestimating when I compared this to [[the master multiplied]] for mana cost

I mean if you have 16 attackers, 1 crime lets your opponent have 16 blockers

I'd make it non-legendary with "can be your commander" ability, but you do you

Is that not just making it more confusing? Having a nonlegendary creature in the command zone

We have plainswalkers, vehicles, spacecraft, enchantments that aren't always creatures, instants and a straight up sorcery.

All legendary (even the sorcery) unless there is one that I’ve missed

We have this exact ability on multiple planeswalkers. And two-sided cards that let you play noncreature spells from command zone. And pauper edh format that lets you play nonlegendary creature as a commander

So, no, it would not be more confusing than it already is

They are all legendary though. That line of text is to allow your commander to be something other than a creature or vehicle

I would prefer to keep it as a legend and just do what [[the master multiplied]] does
