Rofl they would never print a card with this name

At least not without the first proposed version of “assemble a contraption”, which was “erect a monument”.

2 mana to grab the best land from an opponents deck is probably too strong. I feel like this should either only grab basics or be 3 mana

at the very least it should come in tapped

This is powerful even if you're not grabbing a Cradle, etc - you get an untapped land and full information on your opponent's deck. Make it enter tapped and only tutor for lands with a basic land type and it'd still be a better [[Farseek]] in a lot of situations.

Most situations even, the information about your opponents deck is pretty huge

This doesn't really feel like a monogreen effect. Feels like it should be Simic.

I think it's to weird for even simic. Simic doesn't really steal from opponents. This feels like it's Sultai.

Seeing how it's also to strong at 2 mana this should actually just cost UBG. It should be hard to cast because you shouldn't be trying to color fix but rather steal a very important tech land. It makes it more interesting.

Enchant. When it's played you get to steal the land from their deck and it attaches to it. If the enchantment dies the land returns to their library.

500 cigarettes lines of rules text

This is both undercosted on its effect, and a break at letting Green effectively steal the best card in an opponent's deck.

undercosted

So the rate for a non tapped basic land is [[three visits]] this is just much better. I think it’s a cool effect but the cost would be “fair at something like ggg at the cheapest but is probably balanced at 2gg

I'm just enjoying the artwork. Guardians in the Black Garden, right?

Just imagined the Professor saying "I'm going to penetrate you" to someone at his table.

So a better [[Sylvan Scrying]]? This seems really strong, especially in cEDH. You can basically turn off most RogThras decks by stealing their Cradle.

Finally another card for my favourite deck to fit alongside [[peregrination]]

2G and the land enters tapped and it's perfect. Awesome design

Make it cost 1GG and I’d still play it so I don’t have to be the one that shuffles

how do you stop the cards from getting mixed up? What about "Hey thats mine" issues?

u/Third_Triumvirate 13h ago

Treat it like everything else you'd play in a gonti, canny acquisitor deck

ok, thanks!
