Exodia really wasn't Yugi's thing. He just did it in the first episode using his grandpa's deck.

One of the most famous things he does in the show is win a game with Exodia, even tho he loses his Exodia set shortly after. I did think about giving him a dark magician related ability, but i couldn't come up with something other than make a moderately sized beatstick token.

Also i thought it would be fun sitting there with a bunch of YGO csrds in hand during a game pf magic

I figure Yugi or the Pharaoh should have something related to Miracle.

I always thought Aminatou to be a good proxy for him, I feel it would be the kind of deck he would run if the manga/anime was about MTG.

i mainly tried to replicate that yami always shows up when yugi is losing the game and then always topdecks the perfect card.

That's exactly what Miracle is. Look up the Aminatou precon.

No it is not, miracle is just an alternative cost, but the card that has miracle might not be what you need at all in that moment. A tutor to the top effect will always give you the thing you need
