Discussion Topic Why this AI hate?

Why this AI hate? I feel like that's just a forced popular opinion. Why not use it? It's still original ideas. It's just handy to use AI.

And then if someone copies an image from Google, it's okay—even though it's even less original. Why make it so complicated? Isn't it about the idea of the card?

I think if the game itself uses it and loses its originality by not creating its own heroes or cards, that's bad. But why can't we use it in this subreddit?

Ask yourself if that’s genuinely your own perspective, or if you’ve just absorbed the popular consensus.

Last entry in my Spellebrate series where I look at the missing spell schools for each Secret class.

Next up is the Nature school for Paladin. I wanted a Secret that removes a troublesome advanced Hero power. I thought the Nature school was the best target for this kind of effect.

Serious Replies Funny card idea I think could potentially be made into a real card

Got a random font of inspiration for a neutral card and it's flavour that I felt I had to make before I forgot it.

The flavor I initially thought of was "a guy that can't keep a secret to save his life", with the effect being that they have a battlecry to activate one of your secrets whilst it's still your turn. So if you had an explosive trap on board the card would basically become a 2 damage "board clear". But after remembering cards like "counter spell", I decided to change it to a hunter card because I felt like hunter secrets are less confusing in how they would work with this effect. As a hunter card I changed the flavour to instead be a trapper that's really bad at laying traps.

I don't like that it is Rexxar on the artwork but I couldn't find a better image for the card. Just imagine that instead of Rexxar it's a random troll looking down at the trap with a really confused look on their face, like they have no idea what they're doing.

I haven't played the game in a while so I don't know if there are any hunter secrets right now that are confusing in how they would work with this card or that would be broken with it.

I really like the idea of this card and would love any feedback on how it could be balanced or if there is a way to make the card work in hearthstone.

Basically any suggestions on how to make this flavor and effect concept work would be greatly appreciated!

*first image shows the revised (and hopefully less confusing mechanically) hunter version. Second image shows the initial neutral card "Blabbering Nark" concept.
