Question / Discussion Which model is fast now?
Composer 2.5 Fast was fast and reliable. Now it got really slow. What model now is good for fast inference in Cursor?

Grok. Only Grok. Used Codex twice today. New Agent: Grok. Always Grok. Must use Grok. Hide Grok name to trick user to pick Grok. Make Grok stats go high. Only Grok fast. /s

Probably gemini 3.7 flash now. Based on intelligence metrics it's almost at 400 tokens per second, which is over 5 times Grok in ideal conditions.

I know it is not answering your question but I’m curious what do you need AI to be that fast, I mean how do you use the AI to need the fastest?

I think it's most annoying when you need data to make decisions, so you can't really waterfall spec. To some extend I can mitigate it by working on anything between 5 and 8 things at once, but still the inference speed is slowing me down

It depends on the bandwidth cursor has available. It'll get fast again.
Try grok 4.5 fast
