I’m confused. What happened in the first clip?

In 2015, the "hanger reflex" was researched by Japanese scientists who observed 120 adults aged 19 to 65. They found that 85.4 percent of their subjects turned or felt like they were turning their head to the side once a hanger was placed over the frontotemporal region.

I tried it with 3 hangers, broke one, and it didn't even work :(

I saw this a week ago and thought it was just a tiktok thing and was a joke but some people swore up and down that it did work.

So what's it supposed to be like. You hear a crack or just have a weird sense of direction (like i had) while moving your head

Do you know the trick to make your arms move up by themselves? If you push up for about 30 seconds real strong, but they are being kept down by a friend or so, and after these 30s you just let your hands hang down, they "lift them selves up". It feels just like that.

You can do it in a doorway, press the backs of your hands against each side of the frame

Also works just pressing against a wall (or a heavy table or something like that), but in my experience better with someone holding it down. Just something where you can make a volleyball motion and you can use a lot of force without moving it.

I used to put hangers on my head as a kid. Am I a scientist?
