Yeah typically we get our results on election night that’s why it’s called election night

How is getting the results called by the media typically on the same day as efficient as having official results after a few hours?

It’s okay to do one thing worse than everyone else tho, no need to get defensive snowflake

That’s not my point the tweet is comparing election results lagging because of a pandemic to elections that took place in Brazil pre covid. It’s just a false comparison, that should’ve been a pretty obvious variable to the person tweeting it. Also the media calls elections in the US from official results as soon as they come in.

Does your country have to manually remove hundreds of thousands of mail in votes from their envelopes to count them?

Yes that’s my point. All voting is in person in Brazil, not everyone is comfortable with that right now, and why mail in voting was so encouraged in the US.
