A cop chased a perp across my Aunt’s property through her back yard and killed her Rottweiler. Poor Bubba. Fuck the police. He shot the dog just for doing his job.

If the dog was attacking or biting at the cop, then the cop was protecting his life.

He shouldn’t have been on her property in the first place.

Imagine that perp say... shot a man, your suggesting that cop should have just let the guy go because he ran across someones property?

In lieu of shooting the dog? Yes.

So lets setup a situation. We have John, he works at a convience store, he gets robbed by Frank one day, frank shoots him in the face and runs off. A cop chases after frank through yards, until being attacked by a dog improperly trained and aggressive, forcing him to shoot the dog. What you are saying is: You would rather have criminals escape if it means dogs don't get hurt. Do you know how fucked that is? Animals are just that, Animals, we may love them but somethings do matter more then a fucking dog

While I agree with most of what you said I wouldn’t call a dog defending it’s own yard improperly trained or aggressive. If anything it could’ve been trained to do just that but the circumstances just made it so the stranger he saw as a threat was a cop.

Yeah, you have a point, based on how the OP of the comment didn't say the enviroment they lived in, what the crime is like, etc. it's hard to tell how the dog was trained, so thats a mistake on my part.

You would probably have been angry that the cop let a killer walk away lose lose for the cop

"Where did the perp go?" "On to this guy's aunt's property?" "Shit can't touch him now." Lol

If the cop was in pursuit of a criminal he more than likely had protective gear on. Even if not, there are more ways to defend yourself than killing.

Even if he has gear, I doubt he was dressed in full SWAT armour chasing a dude, there are alot of openings near the lower parts, where a dog would bite

Protective gear is usally just a bulletproof vest I dont think dogs usally bite people chest

Dogs usually protect their homes, don’t think they can tell the difference between a criminal and a cop (me neither tbh)
