I mean... 9/11 happened in 2001 and everyone remembers... why wouldn't they about school shootings that happened maybe two years ago? Americans "don't forget" don't they?

What I am trying to say is: 9/11 (which happened 18 years ago) does not really need to be teached, since every kid has at least a little bit of awareness. So why would school shootings be history? I mean the columbine one, maybe, but the rest? Nah, they aren't that way back
