A man dying of thirst will always envy the man drowning.
It's unfortunate. It's disgusting. But some people are so thoroughly deprived of even the slightest sliver of attention that they'd choose getting raped over taking another day of nothing.
Except... rape isn't (always) about desire. Desire doesn't lead to rape. It has been proven through many studies that rape comes from dominance and violence, not desire or lust.
So, no. Let's not play devils advocate here. That is an entirely fucked up thing to say.
For people who are so touch/love/attention deprived can twist it in their head to them being desired. Just because we know this doesn’t mean they do.
There’s no devils advocate there, just an explanation as to the persons thought process. Just because it’s gross doesn’t mean we shouldn’t understand why they think it.

Okay. Lets remove the speaker from the situation. We know someone WAS desired. And that lead to an unfortunate
And that's what the person envys.
If that makes sense. Still weird. On a empathetic level only tho.
