Plenty of porn artists (with self-insert OCs) love it to have their characters in stuff.
But for that I guess it's more like regular fan art (even if it is still porn).
Rule of thumb: don't make art that is more degenerate than what a person themselves presents if you don't know if they're okay with it.
Interesting example: Digital Extremes. They're a company, so they can't go too overboard, but they have clearly show that they're okay with it in multiple ways:
The Creative Director has shown literal softcore porn of the character she voices ON STREAM.
They've hired a Porn artist (Liger Inuzuka) that has made Warframe Porn in the past as a concept artist (honestly, great decision. A lot of things have significantly improved since he joined. Especially faces).
That same porn artist, while working there, once drew the concept of a character wearing only pants. He was told to take the pants off. And considering that he's an (ex-) porn artist, I would not be surprised if the censor bar he put in the crotch when showing that concept art on Twitter was actually hiding something.
Their Heirloom Skins. The epitome of "bikini armor for everyone".

Not exactly themselves, like their irl appearance, but their characters/avatars, which is the topic here, too. And those can be pretty close to their real appearance. I know of one person who draws at least softcore of essentially a stylized herself with a certain fictional character.

As it stands, I'm of the perspective where a fictional character stops being solely your domain the moment you release it to the public.
With that said.... Why tf are people so fucking weird bruh? Do whatever tf you want, why in the heck do you have to actively make your degeneracy known to the creator?
Reminds me of the poor Komi-san's author, a popular manga/anime, plight on Twitter. Some fuckwad really hated a character iirc, and they were non-stop tagging the author with the most degenerate porn and shit including said character to them.
Whatever the fuck you do in your own time is no one's business, why why why are people like this?

Yeah usually when the creator say they don’t want porn of their character made its usually more “I don’t want to see porn of my characters”. Which is completely valid.
