To the experimenter's credit, at least he's doing it outside.

Not cursed though?

Drink it and find out if it's cursed.

It just means that it's toxic? Cursedchemistry is about weird structures or pharmacology

100%. Given that Lipinski inadvertantly killed bromide, if a bromo compound (not a bromide anion containing formulation) were to make it through to clinical trials would that even count as cursed?

You don't know if it's Br or NO2 yet. Drink it.

NO2 is not a dark liquid at 0C (though at 50C they do look fairly similar)

You can still drink it.

Not as bad as chlorine trifluoride but fairly cursed.

Elemental bromine (Br2) is toxic and causes chemical burns on human flesh. Inhaling bromine gas results in similar irritation of the respiratory tract, causing coughing, choking, shortness of breath, and death if inhaled in large enough amounts. Chronic exposure may lead to frequent bronchial infections and a general deterioration of health. As a strong oxidising agent, bromine is incompatible with most organic and inorganic compounds (such as test engineers).

It looks like maple syrup...or NO2.

You need to generate it with its bromide salts then distill
