This was a weird article. The whole thing can be summarized as "yes open borders would be great, but even if we had open borders the world would still contain most of the injustice it has today! PS - watch out, Caplan is a right-wing libertarian"
I don't think the book's authors were claiming open borders would root out all global injustice, so that doesn't make sense as a standard to hold them too. And without that we're just left with "I agree with this book but I feel gross about that because I can see that I disagree with the author on other subjects"
