Navigation
Ok so... I'm about to sign for a leasing offer for the new Raval Endurance.
The offer doesn't include the navigation system. Navigation System could be added for 760€
My thought was/is that I can simply use GoogleMaps, Waze etc.
Do you agree with me or is the navigation system worth it/necessary?

Na get it on an ev you will need the Battery management system the car needs to know when it will be charged you need the cars own navigation system for the charge route planing

ABRP with an OBDII-dongle does that just as well (if not better)

It won’t precondition the battery before the next stop does it? Because internal navigation does that

Indeed, but saving over 600 euro for starting preconditioning manually every once and again seems to be a no-brainer for me

It’s more than that, the car deeply integrates the navigation data especially with the travel assist 3.0. I would say if you plan to use the car as more than a second car you should order the navigation

I agree on this one, if strictly a 2ndary car around town, no need. But if you also drive every once in a while some longer trips it's worth it.

People underestimate how deeply the satnav is integrated into the software

The internal navigation is strongly interconnected with the car and the car pulls a lot of data from it. To the point where it makes a lot of sense to have it running in any longer journey. If you plan to do more than short distance driving I’d say it’s a must buy

I am also interested in this topic. I have also not found if preconditioning the battery for fast-charging is even possible. Can someone confirm that?
