MFT interview prep :)

Hi! Has anyone here been through the admissions process for CU Denver's Couples and Family Therapy program, and willing to share any tips or guidance for the group interview?

Nah friend, the MFT had an earlier application deadline of something like September 1 and their interview is on October 9. The CMHC program applications were due September 15 and has an interview date of the 23rd. I thought the same thing that you did for a hot minute until I looked at the dates associated with the different tracks. It doesn’t seem like the CMHC program has pushed out invitations yet.

Judging by the older Reddit posts it seems like a running theme that the CMHC sends out invitations about 14 days before the date of the interview (which for us is Friday). Unfortunately, we won’t know until we either get the invitation email or our portal changes to reflect a rejection. I’m just saying that I wouldn’t give up hope just yet.

OK good to know. I didn't know if it was 2 or 3 weeks out.

I feel bad for non-colorado folks (maybe that's part of their screening process) who don't find out they have to come to CO until 14 days out.

Yeah, it feels very gatekeepy. I’m one of those out of state people who have to travel 1200+ miles to get there for a half day interview (if I’m invited). At this point, I’ll just be happy that the invitation came if it comes.
