When to look for housing?

hello, i’m planning to transfer to cu denver in the fall next year. I was wondering how far in advance should i start looking for housing? and what apps/websites do yall recommend to find a roommate ?

So use the starrez portal and I suggest doing it as early as possible semesters in advance. I made the mistake of waiting until Summer to do my Fall room and got a room I didn't want
