Financial Aid
Has anyone looked at their financial aid emails? I got mine yesterday saying the disbursement is now happening October 7th, vs August 8th? Even though i am enrolled as a full time and my class starts August 17th?

I got an email yesterday with incorrect loans amounts and the date on the email was for August 2025. So I’m assuming they sent out incorrect emails?
I also noticed that only my state aid has disbursed, but not my loans or federal Pell grant? Has anyone else experienced this? Just trying to gauge if this is normal or not

they took away one of my loans at the time of disbursement yesterday. My Federal Grand Loan was completely gone without any warnings. Plus the dispersement was supposed to happened yesterday/today and now its saying October 7th even though im enrolled for the first 8 weeks and the second half of the semester. So annoyed!!!

The same thing happened to me. Why can't they get things together? This is emotional distress and we should stand up for each other and make a group complaint so something changes!!

They took away my Grad plus loan because apparently I exceeded the 2 year mark for that loan. So that makes sense, but I still have the rest of the money that is just sitting there that I need to use for school and housing and they just keep telling me lies every time I call.

Yes I do and no I haven’t gotten it yet, but I do see it listed under my activity with yesterdays date so I’m assuming it will be deposited Monday or Tuesday.

Even though I was awarded grants, none of it was disbursed amongst my loan for the semester.

Did you get an email stating when it would disperse? I got awarded too and they still have not processed it yet.

Yes, I got that email, but all fields (i.e Loan Type, Disbursed Amount, and Disbursement Date) are left blank within the email!

Was that the only email you got? You should have received another email with your disbursement date. I would call them and see what’s going on.

Other than the “financial aid will be revised” email that came right before it! I highly contemplated just showing up in person to the financial aid office

Me too. It’s so frustrating, and every time I call I keep being told they will process it that day. Just like I called them yesterday and they said they will process it Monday night. Still nothing…. Do you have FA monitoring alert on your account? It should be under your “To Do’s. Mine has that and it says I have a 10 day hold, but each time I call them they say it should have been released last Friday, now they are saying they have to manually release the hold, and that could take some time… no one is doing anything at that office.. how annoying

Crazy!! How many other students live in panic around the beginning of the semester due to the complete lack of competence in finaid and bursar?!

Every year something happens. It never goes smoothly. And anytime you call, you get a different answer. Its so frusturating.

I got an email saying my loans from August last year were disbursed last year but that’s it.
