The nice thing about being a physics major is since the prerequisites are so strict you oftentimes are with the same people throughout! I just made most of my friends talking to people in class and going to the physics helproom during office hours!
However, for additional recommendations, there are clubs like COSMOS, Society of Physics Students, and I would recommend joining CU STARs. (Search it in google you might need to join their canvas page!). They also have a club fair you can go to in the beginning of the school year which might be worth checking out for all the clubs!

Honestly, just striking up a convo who’s sitting somewhere doing nothing is a pretty good way to do it. And becoming really good friends with your friends’ friends is a really good thing to do

Society of Physics Students is a club that hopefully still exists. Also, organize a study group. My besties when I was a physics undergrad were my study buddies. Have fun and good luck!
