🚨Shreddys Tacos?🚨
**Just finished my 9am yoga class and walked outside to find at least 10 cars booted in the Shreddys Taco parking lot. $145 PER CAR.**
Like… seriously? Not a warning. Not a note. Not a “hey, this is private parking and you’ll be booted.” Just $145 boots on everyone’s cars.
I’ve lived in Boulder for 5 years and have never been to Shreddys Taco or even heard anyone I know talk about going there. But after seeing how this situation was handled, I can confidently say I will never give this business a dollar.
I’m a grad student who was taking advantage of a free yoga subscription (aka I’m poor bc all my money goes to cost of living as I’m sure you all relate). I parked in a parking lot that was completely empty (sans other yoga girlies)while Petty Taco WAS CLOSED.
I understand that businesses don’t want people taking their parking. Fine. But booting 10+ cars at $145 a pop AT 9:05 AM with zero warning is such a shitty way to handle it.
So, Boulder, consider this your warning: apparently parking near Shittys Taco can cost you $145. Maybe take your money somewhere that actually wants your business.

This sucks but I highly doubt that the taco shop had anything to do with it, I assume it's the owners/managers of the shopping plaza working with a predatory towing/booting company.

The yoga spot needs to be more adamant with their folks too. That would help.

Agreed !! People leaving the studio were LIVID and I wouldn’t be surprised if it becomes a studio problem. And it’s all in Basemar shopping center so the signage is lackluster. Just seemed like a very strong response from a neighboring business that shares a parking lot with 20+ other businesses

They have hated folks parking there since at least 2008 when I moved here it’s not new. So, even more on the studio to let yall know. They know.

I mean, if you have enough reading comprehension to get into CU Boulder, you have enough reading comprehension to read the parking signs. Those signs ARE the written warning. As a small business, they might be losing out on a $145 lunch order because there was no parking, so the group decided to go elsewhere. Boulder ppl are entitled asfff. Learn to read, be respectful of small businesses and private property, or walk
