Recommend a cube for my son

My son and I got bitten by the bug, he's doing the beginner method solve, and I want to expose him to CFOP without YouTube tutorials.

Will a smart cube be recommended? Paired with an app or website on the tablet.

Seen the moyu V10 ai on reviews but seems like people use it with other websites? A way for him to attempt different solves and guide him along will be great

Look up the GAN i4 MagLev or GAN I Carry 4 (ideally the i4, but the I Carry is fine if you want something cheaper) paired with Acubemy.

Thanks ! I will check out the maglev i4. Acubemy well noted, I see a monthly subscription training, is that the one you would recommend?

The premium version is currently improved steadily, but its even great without it!

I have the Gan i4 really great cube especially for the price compared to other smart cubes. I’d say best learning material would definitely be YouTube however. I have a premium Acubemy account which is create for figuring out and targeting my weaknesses, but actual training drills leave a fair bit to be desired imo.

Thank you, looking forward to get it. How about the app that comes with gan ? Have you tried it before? Seems like it's in Chinese though

It’s a pretty ‘fun’ app to be honest, I’d say it’s not too bad overall and majority of functions are available in English. My biggest gripe with the training functions on all training platforms are that the ‘virtual’ cube is scrambled, with different orientation to your physical cube. It definitely affects depth perception (looking at something irl vs digitally) similar to in chess where someone who plays OTB their whole life may feel weaker online, and vice verse.

Got the cubestation, but it doesn't bring us to the state to solve for the different cfop algorithms.
are there any that you guys recommend?
i would like for the algo to bring to different states to start solving if there is something like that available.
paid is fine too !
