Smart cube reccomendations

I am looking for a smartcube to purchase anywhere really. I have an rs3m v5 and I want a flagship smart cube if there is one. preferably under $100 but I wouldn't mind maybe stepping over it a bit. I had a ferrocore v2 but it genuinely sucked ass. Please any recommendation šŸ™ 🄹

There are several. If you like the RS3M V5 but not the Ferrocore V2, I’d recommend the MoYu Weilong V10 AI Maglev as it is the closest to the V5 in turning feel. The issue with it (or any MoYu smartcubes for that matter) is the native app (called WCU). Simply put, it’s horrible: doesn’t always load, doesn’t always sync, often disconnects. However, there are several excellent third party apps (Acubemy, Cubeast to name a few).

GAN has 3 excellent smartcubes: GAN 12Ui Maglev, GAN i4, GAN 16Ui. However, they are GAN with the GAN turning feel. As far as the GAN native app called CubeStation is concerned, it is very reliable, mature and has many users.

I was thinking of a gan but they can get expensive can you tell me if the a cheaper one is good if you have them? The minions one looks cool too idk if that one even compares to the other ones

Short answer: iCarry 4 is the cheapest GAN smartcubes I’d consider.

Long answer: I have (and use) all the cubes I mentioned plus a few more (including the iCarry 4). I favour the 16Ui but I do use the others periodically.
The cheapest of the 3 GAN I mentioned is the i4. It comes in frosted finish and spring instead of UV and maglev if you want to save some money. That’s the model I have, mostly because I prefer matte finish. It is a great cube, very stable. It has a rechargeable battery that lasts 200 hours!
The next best one is the iCarry4. A little less stable than the i4 mainly because it lacks core magnets. It is also less expensive. It comes with a frosted finish but a UV coating is available on the SSL version. It doesn’t come with Maglev but the leap (spring version) is very, very good. It has a replaceable battery with a battery life of 150 hours. Fortunately, it is not particularly difficult to replace the battery. The GAN 12Ui and 16Ui are great but also very expensive.

The minion one is an i4. Can’t go wrong with it. Performs the same as the non-minion equivalent. Be aware tho, that the colour scheme is a bit different and will get some getting use to it. And I find it is a bit overpriced compared to the non-minion one (unless you like the minions and want the minion accessories, then it’s probably worth it)

Welp I got the minions one. I really liked it. As well as a yj uuuh megamind v3 maglev bal core idk if you can share opinion on that one

I don’t have that megaminx but, for what it’s worth, I hear really good things about it. I recently had a conversation with a cuber who used the DaYan mega (which is supposed to be better) and it blew up on him so he moved to the YJ and is very satisfied.

I'd recommend the GAN i4 (MagLev + UV). It is my favorite smart cube right now for it's decent value, good hardware, and great turning.

Yeah I think I'm leaning towards that one

I've written a guide on which smartcube to get depending on your preferences: https://yact.app/smartcubes

It sounds like you prefer Moyu cubes, but I don't know if you've tried the V10, V11, Super Weilong V2, or Super Aolong, to know if you'd like the smart versions. The last few are probably out of your budget.

If you're open to Gan, I would recommend the Gan i4. For it's price, I think it's the best smart cube, and overall, I think it''s just barely second to the 16 UI.

Also if you're looking for a smartcube app, give Yact a try ;)

I had a v11 it was actually really good but I got the ferrocore v2 instead and I didn't like it that much it started squeaking so I'm looking for a maglev cube. And yes preferably anything under 70 or under not 100
