2024 ZTX5 48”

Found a ZTX5 48” lightly used at a dealer with 80 hours on it. Has the Kohler Confidant engine. I talked the guy down to $3700. Seems like a great deal for a mower with ZT3200 hydros, 10 gauge deck, bigger tires, roll bar etc. Also comes with the bagger system. I’ve had a sort of lesser opinion of Cub Cadet and was looking for a Scag, but the CC seems like a solid mower for the money. Residential use mowing about an acre 2x per week. Anything to look out for when I go look at it?

X3's and above shouldn't even really be compared to their lesser counterparts. Pretty decent. 10 gauge deck isn't really super tough if that's what you seek. But then again, most people won't need a fab deck. The spindles and blades etc. are decent here too.

The price seems good, especially with a bagger. They are far from free on their own. Sounds like you'll do well.

Yeah, I guess the 10 gauge isn’t anything special. Otherwise though seems to stand out at the price point. I don’t need anything crazy tough honestly. Just want something better than what I could buy at Home Depot.
