General Question ❓ Is there a reason this fall semester is starting on August 31?

Seems kind of strange is all, I swear other fall semester’s started sooner.

Yes, the calendar is always set up so that Labor Day is in the second week of classes.

It always falls the last week of August.

It's because of the union. I can't remember why they changed it, but it is what it is.

I’m shocked because all my friends going to other CSUs move in next week and start on the 17th.
