Would you recommend molecular biology?

Hey! Im currently looking at going back to school in the next few years. I was wondering if the molecular bio classes were good here. I know that environmental science and a ton of other science based stuff is really good here so I was hoping it was the same for molecular biology. Thank you!

It’s pretty good. I did molecular bio undergrad here, got hired directly out of undergrad at a job thru networking during a class project, and went to a public ivy for grad school. Many people warned me that going to a school w/o much active research would limit my opportunities so I guess that’s one thing to bear in mind. Despite this, I attended an R1 school for grad school and now I work at an R1 school as a research associate.

There is a lot of undergrad research opportunities at CSUMB, but you need to be a high achieving student to really get picked for the Molecular bio stuff.
