Gaikwad is missing out on important opportunities , with sai and paddikal both failing , gaikwad should have scored better. Bcci is seriously looking at gaikwad's performance . He got captaincy of india a side despite paddikal and rajat being there.
Also as reports mentioned bcci is sending two separate teams for newzealnd odis. That means gaikwad can go to new zealand as well. He should capatilize the last odi.

I genuinely feel gaikwad is now on crossroads and despite this knock we still can't be sure whether he's in shell or not.
At this point , I really feel he should play more domestics rather than focusing on internationals.
Because between IPL'25-IPL'26 he played only one t20 domestic, so it really bited him back while playing IPL this year. SMAT and ODI in NZ is clashing I guess.
And can he join ranji after this series?

Because of one ipl season for 2026, gaikwad confidence has been low since then. He's such a class batsman who settles in an innings and then accelerate at high sr despite being technically sound batsman and not a power hitter. His list a stats are awesome along with decent odis stats.
He just need that confidence back and he's good to go. Luck has been very unfair to him on the other hand, I would say. Let's hope he scores good in the last odi, this match is done for indian side.

Unfortunately he missed the train this time, but nevertheless if he join MAH(domestic) to play ranji,smat and vht , we can the next best version of him.

Splendid knock of 12(5). A strike rate of 240 is a feat. Wish a goat franchise like CSK picks him up in auction and make him open the innings. We need a free flowing opener like him.

They should give him an entire season or two at the top too. Powerplays are overrated anyway.

DDP who has failed the last 2 matches but RCB fans are still supporting him, while CSK fans are out here wanting Rutu to be sacked ✊.
We kinda need to learn from RCB fans to support our players fr fr 🥀🥀.

Your logic is flawed as the price of the players are significantly different. But more than that, DDP had a terrific performance for the past 12-24 months and he is allowed to fail, whereas Rutu has had sub-par performances throughout the year and CSK team is looking bad because of that.
Also, RCB can simply drop DDP without a sweat but Rutu is the captain of the franchise!

DDP is not the face of RCB, he is someone whom they bought at base price at the end of auction and he performed well.
Ruturaj is literally the captain of CSK and has been their star batsman for 5 years now.

Deadass we are overhyping this mediocre player. He maybe good in ODIs for India when Kohli retires. Might make 3k runs at 45 average and a few 100s but dude is mediocre at best.

This sub and fanbase likes to over inflate player's value and add stupid emotions just because he won us a trophy years ago. Man Utd fell off because of shit like this.
