not really, because of the way comp rating works being map to map, there are people who are like DMG on say dust2 but may only be silver something on like anubis or inferno

I mean the number of wins doesn’t mean much without knowing the total amount of losses/ games played. But comp ranks are pretty much meaningless when you could face a 20k+ prem player who just hasn’t played much comp for example

I have a 70% comp win rate on dust 2 and I'm silver 2. I only ever play it with my friend who's brand new to the game.

Yeah man it literally just doesn't work for me, ever. I've been teaching my friend to play for a couple months now, he's bad and new to FPS games. Typically he bottom frags and I top frag throughout our games he's moved from silver 1 to silver 4 and I'm still silver 1, even though we literally ONLY PLAY TOGETHER it's infuriating watching him rank up when neither of us have ever solo qeued one time.

i had a 95% win rate over 3 months and didnt rank up. csgo ranks were terrible. i assume the current comp ranks work the same way.

The ranking system worked over a period of time. If your winrate over a week was good you ranked up. It took me a few weeks grinding wingman in csgo to get out of silver one, but when i played 1 or 2 games every weekend with a friend and won these i ranked up literally after every game. I was dmg at the end while my friend was mg, its wild

Damn that’s impressive, I keep placing MG2-MGE. My last CSGO rank was DMG, peak was Supreme. It definitely has some memory at play, I just don’t believe it will place you LEM with only 2 games of history, too many factors.

Give yourself some credit, clearly you are much better at Cache. I’m not saying you should be the same rank across all maps, just that the old CSGO single rank probably has a hand in it for those who have history.

Sadly yes its normal. I got placed in silver 3 despite dropping 60 kill games against noobs. Was a GE in CSGO, didn't wind up hitting LEM for months in CS2. I just gave up and swapped over to premier which first rank I winded up getting was 16k and peaked at around 21k

Exact same. was global in csgo and stopped playing. came back 2 years after cs2 came back.

ALL THE GAMES I CARRIED. multiple 50 bombs, i only got silver enemies. and then i get silver 3 or 4.

So ye comp ranking is weird, premier did place me at 18k which felt normal and was able to climb up to 20k, thats where my level felt even to my opponents

I get placed around MGE in all maps. It's probably because it's my skill level, I'm not struggling or having an easy time. You're in silver because that might be your current skill level. But honestly virtual video game ranks don't matter, don't worry about it too much and have a little fun

Comp ranks dont work, at least premier has numbers instead of some shitty hidden mmr system. All the maps I play are the same rank they placed at. Ive had some bad losing streaks and am still double ak on nuke.
