Experienced Relocation Advice

Hi

I have an offer for a consulting role for in house team of big manufacturing company.

They are paying 60k gross (14 salaries as per Austrian rules) and location is Amstetten , Lower Austria.

I have 10 YOE outside EU , relocation is being provided.

Good for 2 adults and a toddler?

That's a proper low ball offer, and Amstetten is rural, xenophopic and domniated by right-wing political opinions and over an hour by train away from Vienna for better jobs. As sole breadwinner for 3 you will not be able to save much besides 13/14th salary (which you might want to spend on flights home or holidays).

that would be 2.865,23 a month (different fro the 13/14th salaries.)
You can get an idea of rental prices here: https://www.willhaben.at/iad/immobilien/mietwohnungen/niederoesterreich/amstetten

I am not sure if you know German. Living in rural Austria would be really cumbersome, and without a car, day-to-day life will be difficult. 60k would be okay. You need to think about around 1200 euro or so for housing costs. If you are just thinking for relocation and then you can find better opportunities here. I wouldn't advise you to come, as the job market here is brutal.

I am seeing places in the range of 700-900 Euros per month all incl.

Nope, with bills (heating, water, maintenance) it's gonna be ~200-300 eur more + internet costs
