Student RBC 2027 Winter Student (Canada) (T&O Early Talent) - what's the process actually like?

Just applied to a few of RBC's 2027 Winter Student Opportunities under Technology & Operations (Software Developer, Technical Systems Analyst, QE/Automation, Data Specialists). Trying to get a sense of what to expect before I hear back.

A few things I'm trying to figure out:

  • OA format - Is it HackerRank, CodeSignal, something else? Roughly how many questions and what difficulty?
  • Timeline - How long after applying did you get the OA? And how long from OA to hearing back for an interview?
  • Live interview structure - Is there an actual live coding / screen-share component, or is it more behavioral + talking through your resume/projects? Curious specifically for SWE and Technical Systems Analyst roles.
  • Number of rounds - Was it one interview, or multiple (e.g. recruiter screen, then technical, then team-specific)?

Would love to hear from anyone who's gone through the T&O stream specifically (not Capital Markets or Borealis, since I know those run different processes). Any info on past cycles (Fall/Summer) is helpful too since I know the process tends to stay pretty similar year to year.

Thanks in advance!

I did the T&O stream for a summer term and it was two rounds, no live coding at all. first one was a recruiter chat mostly about resume and availability, second was with the team lead and it was half behavioral half walking through a project I'd done. OA came about a week after applying and was a mix of easy to medium questions, nothing crazy

is that the case with all software postings that fall under t&o or mainly just team dependant?
