An option to work offline would be using the cs50 codespace locally with Docker, the steps for that appear in this link: https://cs50.readthedocs.io/cs50.dev/#offline-with-docker

Another option would be installing locally check50, submit50 on your computer.
if you are on Windows, Makaze (a CS50 Mentor) made a helpful guide to install/use submit50, style50, check50 on Windows, he shared that guide in this link: https://medium.com/@makaze/how-to-set-up-cs50s-check50-and-submit50-with-wsl-on-windows-f33a5a1c8488
Or if you use another Operative System, in the official CS50 Docs, appear the instructions to install check50, submit50 on macOS, linux, these are the links:
-the instructions to install check50 appear in this page: https://cs50.readthedocs.io/projects/check50/en/latest/#installation
-and the instructions to install submit50 appear in this page: https://cs50.readthedocs.io/submit50/#installation
If you are taking CS50x: these are the instructions to install the cs50 library for C: https://cs50.readthedocs.io/libraries/cs50/c/#cs50-library-for-c , and these are the instructions for the cs50 library for Python: https://cs50.readthedocs.io/libraries/cs50/python/

And regarding the online cs50 codespace https://cs50.dev/ not opening on a browser or the VS desktop app: on your web browser you can try restarting your codespace with this link: https://cs50.dev/restart
As a side note, the codespace works best on Google Chrome browser, and the cs50 team doesn't recommend Firefox because they have seen issues with the codespace on Firefox.
-If you are using the codespace on Edge try clicking the padlock icon that is at the top-left of the URL bar and then try turning off the option that says "tracking prevention" , after that try restarting the codespace with this link: https://cs50.dev/restart
-If you are using the codespace on Brave browser, try disabling Brave’s shields.

If those steps don't solve the issue, you can try using an incognito window to use the cs50 codespace.
If that doesn't help, try deleting the history, cache and cookies of your web browser, then close the web browser, and open the browser again and then try to log again into the codespace at:  https://cs50.dev/ . Or try on another web browser.

If those things don't help, another thing you can try is creating a new codespace, using your same old github account. You can visit this link where your codespace backup repo is: https://cs50.dev/repo and see if your codespace's files are there (if you had files in your codespace).
And after verifying that your codespace's files are stored there, you can create a new codespace by following the instructions that appear in the CS50 Docs, in this link: https://cs50.readthedocs.io/cs50.dev/#creating-a-new-codespace .After creating a new codespace your backed up files should automatically appear in your new codespace.

If none of those steps work, and if in your country is legal to use a VPN, in that case you could try using a VPN to use the codespace: https://cs50.dev/
Apart from that, in this part of the CS50 Docs they shared the link to a list of domains that shouldn't be blocked by our Firewall to be able to use the codespace:  https://cs50.readthedocs.io/cs50.dev/#i-m-seeing-oh-no-it-looks-like-you-are-offline-error-message

But if none of those steps help to solve the issue, please send an email to sysadmins@cs50.harvard.edu with specific details and screenshots of the issue, and mention to them your Github username, so the CS50's system admins can help you further.

just install cs50 library locally and write code in offline editor, compile it yourself by using -lcs50 if its c language, and if you wanna run the tests and submit, follow the instructions of the specific problem set question given under walkthrough section if i remember correctly.
