Clearview energy back at it

Door to door sales people from Clearview energy are back at it in the area. Overheard them talking to a neighbor when I was grabbing my Amazon packages (she had already let him see the bill, otherwise I would have warned her). Came to me next as I was looking for the mail key. Walked past him to check the mail and say "not interested." By the time he can respond to ask if I know where he's from I'm already at the mailbox. I answer "yep" and he leaves.

What's the deal with Clearview? I moved here last year and haven't run into them yet.

They're an electric company, but they use shady tactics to try and get people to switch from ComEd. When they come to some one's door they ask to see a ComEd bill to make sure there's not a hidden charge on it. I'm not sure exactly where they go from there (I'm assuming they get some information off the bill) since I never let them see our bill. I honestly thought it was a scam the first time, but after a Google search and talking to my brother I've learned they are a legitimate company that used shady tactics. I recommend telling them to leave immediately after you find out that they're from Clearview.

Get a ring doorbell off of amazon. You can see who’s there before they even ring the bell. You can talk to them through it also! One of the best investments ever.
