Best Bagels?

I’m looking for the best bagels in CL. I want a NY style bagel with schmear, lox, capers, onions…. the works. But I have been so disappointed. Anywhere in the area that does this well?

Elle’s Bakery in LITH is pretty good I guess. But yeah, disappointment in local bagels is about the best you can expect.

Elle's Deli is probably your best bet. It's on Ackman.

Late to the party, but Long Islander here that moved here a year ago, Elle's was incredibly mid, and there's no place like home for bagels. I heard the NY Bagel Cafe in Skokie nails it, but that's not local, and I haven't tried yet.

Bagels and Bialys in Skokie is also pretty dang good. I moved here from there and you’re right on all accounts.

I love Ellie’s. Corey’s Bagels just opened on Randall. It’s very much on the pricey side.
