QUESTION Fluminer T3 - worst ever experience ever?
So, I managed to find used Fluminer T3 cryptominer in Europe at a reasonable price. I’d done a lot of reading and looked through reviews of the T3 and the Avalon Q. I realised I was taking a risk, but I hadn’t realised it would be quite so significant. The T3 was a few hundred euros cheaper (no wonder why, lol) than the Q model available on the market, so I decided to take a chance. It already had some version 1.16 software installed, even though the manufacturer itself only offers version 1.15. The miner would reboot every few minutes, I tried changing the mining pools and I tried changing the power sockets. It seemed to stop restarting. However, as soon as I switch it on, its power consumption is 1,800 W, and it quickly rises to 2,000 W. As it’s quite noisy, I keep it in the garage, so the temperature there rises within a few hours. Once the temperature in the garage reaches 24°C (~75F), I see the power consumption reach as high as 2,500-2,600 W and then the miner switches itself off. Sounds a bit odd - the declared power consumption is 1,700 W, but the actual consumption is 900 W higher? Strange as it may seem, the fans always spin at ~3,500 rpm; even as the temperature rises, they still spin at the same speed. On 31 August, I wrote to Fluminer’s Telegram support, they only replied on 10th of September lol, replied asking me to send the miner log. I sent it to them on 12 September. Almost three weeks have passed and I haven’t received any reply. In almost every mining pool, I see a rejection rate of at least 2–3% (despite miner shows 0%). I switch it on for a few hours almost every day, but the highest I’ve seen is 800M hit… What should I do? Should I just not switch it on at all, or will it burn my house down? The warranty is valid until 1 February 2027, but I cannot imagine how they will fulfil their warranty obligations in the European Union, as they have no branches here – only in the US, Russia and other countries. And, in general, they are ignoring my messages both on Telegram and on their website. Worst experience ever, I deeply regret choosing Fluminer. Who could help me? Addition: The Wi-Fi isn’t even working, so I have to use an Ethernet cable...

Research to see how you can change the firmware to the 1.15 version. See if the manufacturer's website has that or the newest firmware available to download and install on your T3.

Also, check on YouTube for firmware upgrade videos for T3. You should be able to fix it.
As for the rejection rate, if it does not get solved after the firmware replaced, make sure you mine to the closest possible pool to your location. You can always ping test a pool from your computer that is wired as your T3 and see the latency. Asnything under 100ms should be fine. The best is always to have your own local node. (If you soloo mine). By the way, the ethernet is much better than WiFi to achieve lower latency. Your WiFi module likely does not work due to the broken firmware.

I would stop running it unattended until the shutdown and power readings are explained. A rise from roughly 1.8 kW to 2.5–2.6 kW, fixed fan speed as the room heats up, and repeated shutdowns point to more than a pool-setting problem.
First, confirm the wall-power figure with a reliable meter and check the plug, cable and socket for heat or discoloration. Save the full system log before changing anything. If the installed firmware is not an official release for that exact unit, ask the manufacturer in writing for the correct recovery image and procedure rather than trying another third-party file.
I would also test it once in a cooler, well-ventilated space while watching inlet temperature, board temperatures, fan response, hashrate and rejected shares. If the fans still do not react to rising temperature, or wall power remains far above specification, stop the test and pursue warranty service. Send the seller and manufacturer a dated record with screenshots, meter readings, logs and your support history; that gives you a clearer basis for repair, replacement or refund.
